![]() ![]() Boy I really feel like I'm leaning in this direction instead of the Voyager. Boy the insurance is spendy on these things though. From what I have been told the Venture has as much room as the Vic's or more.ĭang just as I thought I was done racking my brain and burning out cells this comes up. We tested some Victory's a few weeks back and one of her comments was on both the Cross Country and Vision was she had some room to "readjust" and move and also move her feet around. You know when we were checking out the Voyager and she got on the back one of the first things I noticed was she felt like she was as close as on the 900. The wife really liked the seat on it way back a couple years ago when I just started entertaining the idea of switching. He tells me about an 09 Venture he has with 7400 miles and 3 yr of warrenty left. So whats a guy to do? H#L you call right ? So salesman gives me the info we chat and he asks if I'm dead set on the Voyager. I get to looking and a sister store of thiers (about 140 miles away) has same price on the ABS model. So we had looked in Lake wales which is about 40 min from our house. So I am still searching the net for the best deal, right you guys know what I'm talking about. I had all the finance stuff ran and pre-approved. So just about the time I think I found what we are going to get the fellow at the dealership throws me a curve. SOLD he said first person to look at it snapped it up. I would recommend this bike to anyone looking for a full dress cruiser.īig G: Finnaly got an e-mail back from the guy. Yamaha has raised the price of the 2011s. If you can pick up a 2009 or 2010 model you would most likely get a great deal. My wife likes ridding on the RSV more than a Harley because she has more leg room on the Venture. They should have just use that space as a storage compartment. AM/FM radio, CB, intercom, AUX input, four speakers, electronic cruise control and the one thing that bothers almost everyone for at least the last six or seven has a cassette deck. Now lets talk about all the goodies it has that come stock. ![]() The seat? It's like sitting on your couch. It will keep up with just about any full dress out there (maybe not a Gold Wing). It's a 1300cc V4 with 98 hp to the crank and 78 hp to the rear wheel. Even though they have been making this same version for ten years it still holds up to any other bagger. I can how ever tell you about the Venture. I've been riding Ventures since April '83 starting witha maroon '83, I loved every mile I put on that machine,it cornered better ,rode better longer then anything previous. Then I went with the' all new' 86 and WOW they actually did improve on an already perfect bike. I can't speak for the Voyager as I've never ridden one. I just finished reading the review from Armstrong on the 91 Venture and I couldn't agree more. ![]()
